Multiple community organizations and interested members of the community gathered at Hofstra University Student Center on July 24, 2010 for the Uniondale Community Council's Annual Community Summit.

The consensus of the participants included the need for an overall need for collaboration among community organizations to ensure that there is an ongoing understanding of community issues and what each organization's focus is with respect to those issues. Each organization understanding this will lead to enhanced unity and allow "working together" more efficiently and thus benefit the community better.
