Uniondale Businesses SponsorArts Program at JJBC
We, at the John J. Byrne Community Center (JJBC) are extremely pleased by the business community's positive response to the new Environmental ECO Art program just launched at the center by Vincent Fine Designs (VFD). The partnership between JJBC and VFD is one more example of JJBC's push to bring quality educational and cultural programs to the youth of Uniondale. "This program is critical to the development and growth of a viable community center for this area. Launched November 2nd, the program already shows signs of growth and exceptional potential. Using fallen tree branches to create art forms, Environmental ECO Art delivers a strong message of protecting and saving our environment, in addition to its educational and artistic impact. Students are given the opportunity to use latent creative ability to turn out pieces of art on canvas and stand-alone sculptured forms. "The program definitely introduces youth to new ways of looking at nature. We applaud the first-round business sponsors for their foresight and concern for our young people in jumping at the chance to sponsor students to the program. Success of the program depends largely on the generosity of the business community. JJBC and VFD look forward to establishing a solid foundation for the program with the full participation of residents and businesses in the community. CELEBRATING THEIR ACHIEVEMENTSTo acknowledge the achievements of the maiden class of the Environmental ECO Arts program, a special ceremony will be incorporated into the program of the JJBC Holiday Party sponsored by TD Bank in East Meadow on December 13, 2010.
